Uniforms
Uniform Protocol
Full uniform is compulsory for all students from Foundation Stage up to and including Year 11.
All uniform items must be purchased online via the College uniform shop, with collection available from either the Primary or Secondary site. Uniforms cannot be purchased directly on-site, but students are welcome to try on items for size before placing an order. To arrange a fitting appointment, please contact Elisa Alvarez at uniforms@xabiainternationalcollege.com.
Outdoor coats are acceptable during cold weather. We recommend that children try all items for size before orders are placed.
Long hair must be tied back, and bright coloured streaks are not acceptable. Only discreet earrings are allowed; no other piercings, tattoos, or jewellery. All uniform items must be clearly labelled with the child's name.
Our uniform shop provides comfortable, mix-and-match pieces designed with students' confidence and comfort in mind. Options include shorts, skorts, leggings, tracksuit bottoms, t-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, fleeces, and jumpers. Most items are unisex, and all students are welcome to wear whichever styles they prefer.
All uniforms are designed and produced locally by Paco Sempere in Alcoi, ensuring both sustainability and excellent quality.
Caps, Sunscreen & Labelling
- Children must wear a cap in the playground when the weather is hot. School caps are available to purchase.
- Sunscreen must be applied at home before coming to school.
- PLEASE LABEL ALL CLOTHING! There are many children with the same uniform size as your children.
Jewellery, Accessories, Hair & Shoes
Children must not wear any jewellery, fashion accessories, elaborate headpieces or hairbands, etc., to school.
- Only additional coats are accepted for very cold/rainy days, but all children must have at least one fleece and/or sweatshirt.
- Footwear, including trainers, must be appropriate for school: no bright colours or lights. Children must not wear flip-flops or croc-style shoes without a heel strap.
- Socks and tights must be navy, black or white; coloured leggings or long coloured socks are not permitted.
- Caps, scarves, ear muffs and gloves may be worn to and from school, but are not permitted in class.
- Long hair must be tied back (boys and girls).
- Only discreet earrings are accepted (no hoops or long earrings).
- Nail varnish and acrylic nails are not allowed.
For Early Years children (PreNursery, Nursery and Reception) - lace-up shoes are a trip hazard for our little ones. If your children can tie their laces completely independently, they may wear them to school. If not, please make sure your children wear lace-free shoes or shoes with velcro.
Key Stage 5 Dress Code (Years 12 and 13)
While uniform is not compulsory for Key Stage 5, students are expected to dress appropriately and smartly, reflecting the fact that the college is a professional learning environment. All students should present themselves in a way that is respectful and a credit to both themselves and the College.
The following clothing items are not acceptable on campus:
- Mini-shorts or beach shorts
- Cut-off, ripped, or holed trousers
- Headgear inside buildings
- Low-cut or off-the-shoulder tops
- Leggings with mini skirts
- Short mini-skirts or dresses
- T-shirts with unsuitable logos
- Bare midriffs
This list is not exhaustive, and other items may be added if deemed inappropriate. Students are reminded that XIC is a place of work and they should dress accordingly.
Order Your XIC Uniform
Our official school uniforms are now available to purchase online, making it easy and convenient for families to prepare for the school year. All items are designed for comfort, durability and style, reflecting the XIC identity.
Please note that once an order is placed, it takes 48 hours to prepare. During the high season before the start of the school year, preparation may take a little longer, so it is very important to place your order with plenty of time in advance.
